We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to fill the role of Vice President of Sales. The successful candidate will lead a dedicated team with a particular focus on Home Depot, Menards, and/or Lowe’s.

The base salary is up to $150,000 with a $250,000 OTE.

This leadership role requires a strategic mindset, effective resource allocation, and a commitment to achieving sales and profit objectives.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Establish and grow executive and senior-level relationships with key partners at Home Depot, Menards, and/or Lowe’s.
  • Direct the development and implementation of retail sales plans to exceed revenue and profit goals.
  • Foster relationships and operating practices that provide a competitive advantage, enhancing the efficiency of current programs.
  • Integrate national account and channel objectives into a cohesive sales plan.
  • Manage resource allocation to drive program and channel development opportunities, ensuring profit targets are met.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with key company partners in marketing, finance, supply chain, operations, digital and technology, and field sales.
  • Assess organizational strengths and weaknesses, providing leadership for the development of sales objectives and business strategies.
  • Build and lead a winning team, creating an environment of responsibility and accountability for goal attainment.
  • Develop, communicate, and align the organization behind a sales/customer strategy, ensuring team alignment.

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree required; MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years relevant experience, including management experience.
  • Proven track record in driving growth and executing trade and sales strategies with Home Depot, Menards, and/or Lowe’s.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.
  • Open to location but Chicago is preferred.
  • Demonstrated outstanding leadership in a customer development organization.
  • High levels of integrity, ethics, and superior communication skills.
  • Proven record of expanding sales and market share through innovative programs, products, and team building.
  • Comfortable operating in an entrepreneurial environment.
  • Strong sense of personal accountability, willingness to roll up sleeves, and demonstrate passion, energy, and accountability.
  • Excellent peer influencing and leadership skills, strategic ability, and communication skills.
