The base salary is up to $110,000 with a $220,000 OTE>

The Role: Director of Public Sector Sales
They are seeking a full-time Director of Public Sector Sales to close leads and opportunities in a dynamic and inspiring business category. This enterprise role focuses on the largest cities, counties, and state agencies in an assigned territory. The ideal candidate will have experience translating agency needs and pain points into actionable plans and solutions, sometimes diagnosing and identifying problems that agencies didn’t previously know existed. This individual must be able to engage and build relationships at the executive level with the largest public sector agencies across the country.
The Director of Public Sector Sales is an individual contributor and full sales cycle role responsible for identifying, developing, and leading the successful capture of business opportunities ranging from quick implementations of packaged solutions with recurring revenue tails to larger multiyear, multi-million-dollar projects.
Managing the full sales cycle, from lead generation and initial contact to negotiation, contract closure, and ongoing account management.
Developing, maintaining, and executing Account Plans for all accounts within an assigned territory.
Driving sales initiatives through Account Plans to meet and exceed sales targets within the enterprise market segment.
Building constructive and collaborative working relationships with prospective clients.
Engaging target agencies through multiple levels and entry points across the organization.
Leading demonstrations of a SaaS platform for users and decision makers.
Meeting in person with Chiefs and other relevant stakeholders to assist in evaluation processes.
Closing new partnerships and adding additional agencies to the platform.
Working collaboratively with various teams within the organization in the development of various strategies, markets, offerings, and initiatives.
Consistent documentation of activities and opportunities via Salesforce.
This is a remote role and will require some overnight traveling.
Successful experience at SaaS organizations and government entities is a plus.
Law enforcement, public safety, or public sector experience is a plus.
Must be a proactive, resourceful self-starter, able to take initiative and be accountable for results.
