Our client is an IT Managed Services company looking to add an Account Executive to the team.
The base salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $90,000, with on-target commissions of $70,000.
It’s a work from home role and you should live within 50 miles of Washington, DC.

The IT Sales Executive’s primary responsibility is to consistently surpass sales targets. They are enthusiastic about joining a renowned Consulting and Integration Group with a 30-year history, specializing in delivering cybersecurity, IT management, and automation services within a thriving market.
This role entails driving revenue growth and profitability in various areas, including IT managed services, cybersecurity, automation, disaster recovery, and business continuity. The consulting and integration group offers a range of solutions, including IT management and support, IT auditing, business continuity and security, CIO technology advisory services, and application development expertise.
- Consistently meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales quotas.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive prospecting plan, including cold calling, email outreach, leveraging personal contacts, and following up on leads generated by the company.
- Engage regularly with C-level prospects, both remotely and in person, to discuss IT cost optimization and align opportunities with MainSpring’s service offerings.
- Attend networking events, conferences, and tradeshows to establish relationships that create new business opportunities, primarily in the Greater Washington, D.C., and Baltimore areas.
- Present and align IT solutions with the specific needs of prospects.
- Cultivate a new business pipeline within a defined geographic territory.
- Manage leads through the entire sales process, from qualification to decision and follow-up.
- Conduct sales follow-up activities, including meeting with prospects, creating and delivering proposals, developing sales and marketing materials, and contributing to marketing campaigns.
- Achieve Sales & Marketing activity goals and standards, particularly related to documenting and managing prospect lists and using customer relationship management systems, like HubSpot Sales.
- A Bachelor’s degree is mandatory, with an MBA considered a plus.
- Possess 5 or more years of relevant IT sales experience, emphasizing solution selling within the managed services, cloud/software, and/or technology security services market.
- Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
- Ability to comprehend a customer’s business challenges and collaborate with a team to design IT solutions.
- Exceptional prospecting and consultative selling abilities.
- Proficiency in selling to IT leaders and executives while nurturing relationships that yield opportunities.
- Effective management of a pipeline of opportunities, accurate revenue forecasting, and successful deal closure.
- Strong presentation and negotiation skills.Willingness to travel for customer meetings or corporate events as needed.
