Our client is a mid-sized Recruiting and Staffing Agency in Lisle, IL.
Their primary verticals are: Medical Device, BioTech, Automotive, Aviation, Telecom, Consumer and Industrial Electronics, and Pharmaceuticals. 180 places people across the Product development and manufacturing lifecycle from junior levels to executives. The base salary will be $60,000-$80,000 and $100,000-$125,000 total, including commissions.
About the Job:
We’re looking for a salesperson who can quickly develop into a leader with direct experience in engineering staffing business development.
First, we need a business development person to drive our contract business. This person needs to be exceptional as they’ll be a big part of the company’s future.
You need to be strategic and if you have leadership experience, that is a big plus since this person will quickly be a part of the leadership team. You’ll start out being more of a team leader than a manager as I don’t want to burden them with management. I anticipate a three person POD in which they will do bus dev and account mgmt and two contract recruiters will be assisting on their orders.
You will have heavy influence over the hiring of at least one of two contract recruiters.
We need someone who comes from engineering or something similar because it comes with uniqueness. The prolific aspect of IT and accounting, versus the narrow market for engineering has demonstrated that it is a very different sales mindset and approach.
You will be picking up an existing 2018 contractor base estimated to be $2.5M to $3M in revenue.

- Minimum of 3-5 Years successful track record in Engineering Contract Staffing Profession
- Sales Management experience leading and developing recruiters.
