Our client in Salem, NH and Seattle, WA is looking to hire a Service Writer.

The base salary is $50,000-$80,000 based on experience and location.

The Service Writer plays an important role.  As a Service Writer, it is you who will be responsible for continuing to impress our customers.

Service Writer Responsibilities may substantially vary but include, and are not limited to, the following: 

  • Meeting and greeting customers on a daily basis
  • Scheduling appointments for customers to drop off equipment to be serviced
  • Answering inbound service calls
  • Inspecting portable and truck mounted commercial cleaning equipment
  • Creating a repair order for work to be completed
  • Gathering details about the equipment to direct the technician on the repair
  • Collecting contact information from the customer to discuss repair details/options
  • Educating customers on preventative maintenance options
  • Continuous contact and follow up with customers throughout the repair process
  • Relaying recommended repair options to the customer
  • Investigating any warranty options
  • Closing work orders and collecting payment
  • Managing work flow
  • Performing a comprehensive inspection of customers equipment and/or vehicle for cleanliness (confirm that all identified repairs have been completed, paper work is in order )
  • Providing support to the mechanics and sales staff
  • Addressing all customer questions and concerns
  • Establishing positive relationships with our customers that result in repeat business for all service needs
  • Following up with the customer to confirm repairs were satisfactory
