One of our clients in the West Loop is seeking a Director of Brand Management in the West Loop.

Recently named one of Chicago’s 50 Startups to Watch in 2018, the company is a hyper-growth SaaS enabled marketplace with $10 million funding that’s already rolled out a mobile scheduling platform in 30 countries worldwide.

The base salary will be $60,000-$90,000 based on experience.

Position:

As a Brand Marketing Manager, you will be leading the process of transforming the company into a brand leader. You will be closely cooperation with our C-level executives in areas of product, sales and marketing. You’ll lead cross-functional teams of colleagues from sales, product, and marketing, as well as contracted specialists/agencies in order to deliver exceptional brand experience. This position is best suited for someone with a strong bias for action and excellent communication skills who is comfortable working both horizontally and vertically across an organization to keep multiple projects and priorities moving forward to achieve agreed upon deadlines.

Responsibilities:

  • 360 degrees brand guardian
    • Shape the brand to become leading beauty marketplace in the US
    • Audit of all communication B2B and B2C channels to ensure proper language and quality
    • Cooperation with brand agency to develop consistent brand book and style book
    • Implementation of the brand and style guidelines developed with agency in apps, websites, messaging, printed materials and paid marketing channels
  • Onsite and In-app communication
    • Contribute to a product team of designers, researchers, product managers, engineers, and data scientists
    • Offer a content strategy perspective throughout the product development process, and influence strategic decisions across and within products to improve the overall experience and ensure consistency across platforms
    • Coordinate the team of inhouse and contracted editors and designers
  • Social media and content marketing communication
    • Collaboration with social media specialist to craft and execute consistent and engaging social media
    • Planning and supervising the execution of content marketing strategy
    • Distribution of beauty professional content to the industry directly and via PR agencies
  • Merchandising communication
    • Lead the process of design, production and distribution of B2B merchandising materials that beauty professionals love
  • Events communication
    • Plan presence at major American beauty events in collaboration with sales teams
    • Envision the appealing design and impactful presence of the brand which attracts attention of potential customers
  • Cooperation with performance marketing
    • Collaborate with performance marketing manager to ensure consistent brand communication

Requirements:

  • Proven passion in female beauty products and services
  • Obsession with understanding and meeting the needs of the customer
  • Extensive and relevant experience of a Brand Management team (2+ years of experience in brand marketing), with at least 1 years in online marketing
  • Strategic capability and experience in marketing plan development; situation assessment, strategy and tactical plan development
  • Confidence in concepting as well as executing brand communication projects
  • Experience writing content for web/mobile products and developing style guides preferred
  • Solid understanding of user experience design principles and interaction patterns
  • Experience in collaborating with diverse teams in a dynamic environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong point-of-view and a collaborative nature
